Meenakshi Samantaray joins Metro Brands as Head of Marketing- Sports Division

Metro Brands has appointed Meenakshi Samantaray as Head of Marketing for their Sports Division. She posted about her new role on LinkedIn. Prior to this, Meenakshi Samantaray held the role of Vice President of Marketing & Communications, at ZEE Entertainment Enterprises (B2B).

“After spending an enriching half decade with Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited, it was time to take the next strategic career move. As a protege of Unilever and Future Group India, my heart and core have always been in the lifestyle and retail category. A large part of me has always been inclined to return to a space that could allow me to amalgamate my experience in live entertainment and sports marketing”, the LinkedIn post read.

“And it seems destiny was on my side! I am thrilled to announce that I am joining Metro Brands Limited as the Head of Marketing for their Sports Division. As one of the country’s leading footwear retail brands, known to every Indian household, I am excited to embark on this new journey and its challenges with Metro Brand Limited Brands. I would like to thank the management and TA team for extending this opportunity; and a special mention to you, Shubi Khan, for making this whole thing happen seamlessly and at lightning speed”, the post added.

In her previous stints, Meenakshi Samantaray has worked with ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL) in several leadership roles, ACC Cement, Future Group India and Hindustan Unilever Limited.
