The online summit of the Jaipur Literature Festival 2021 edition starts from February 19, 2021 Dettol BSI, the flagship programme by RB, the global consumer healthcare company, announced today, its partnership with Jaipur Literature Festival, the world's largest free literary festival. The partnership has helped to create a safe, hygienic, and an enjoyable on-ground experience for invitees at the exclusive celebratory event towards the 14th edition of the Festival. Adhering to the ‘new normal’, the partnership enabled implementation of enhanced cleaning and sanitising protocols for all guests across several strategically placed check points, gates & food stations at an exclusive preview to celebrate literature at 1AQ in New Delhi. Every year, the Festival brings together a diverse mix of the world’s greatest writers, thinkers, humanitarians, politicians, business leaders, sports people and entertainers on one stage to champion the freedom to express and engage in thoughtful debate and dialogue. A recent study by Global Monitor indicates that consumers have heightened hygiene concerns when venturing outside the comfort of their homes, and trust in cleanliness standards will be critical to restarting any gatherings. Therefore, it has become highly critical for industries to implement an effective system to ensure standardised hygiene practices to protect oneself and others from this pandemic. As a Cause Partner for this edition’s Jaipur Literature Festival 2021, Dettol BSI will also host a session- ‘Till We Win: India's Fight Against The Covid-19 Pandemic’ with participation from key dignitaries including, Dr. Randeep Guleria, Dr. Chandrakant Lahariya and Dr Gagandeep Kang as key speakers on 21st February 2021. Commenting on the partnership, Mr. Gaurav Jain, Senior Vice President, South Asia, Reckitt Benckiser Health, said, “Even as the lockdown conditions get progressively eased, the Indian consumers’ concern on germ exposure and desire for protective measures remains very high. We, at Dettol BSI, are proud to associate with the Jaipur Literature Festival, as the official hygiene partner. We believe that the Festival provides a great platform for eminent figures from the literary world to spark off discussion & action in support of and inspire more people to focus on hygiene and sanitation for good health. Through this partnership, Dettol will continue to drive its organisational purpose and fight - to protect, heal, and nurture in the relentless pursuit of a cleaner, healthier world.” Sharing his delight on the collaboration, Sanjoy K Roy, Managing Director, Teamwork Arts the producer of Jaipur Literature Festival said, “We are delighted to have Dettol BSi protect the Jaipur Literature Festival and keep us all safe. We believe our strong partnership will make the Festival stronger in delivering the written word." With the help of Dettol, Jaipur Literature Festival will continue to spread the importance of the written word and Dettol's core purpose to protect health and create a healthier world.” The Festival organisers will implement stringent hygiene protocols, social distancing, and food safety measures, along with minimal human contact across all touchpoints. All employees will undergo health screening daily and fortnightly tests; cleaning staff will be in PPE gear, face masks, gloves and face shields for extra protection during sanitising. Further, the entire preview premises will undergo an EPA-approved complete ULV sanitisation process at regular intervals with electrostatic machines which helps in coating the surface with anti-microbial layers for up to thirty days.
