Menon's portfolio will be handled by a new set of leaders to provide specific focus, said CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy in a note to employees

Flipkart head of new business Adarsh Menon quits, team to be restructured: Report

Adarsh Menon who is Flipkart Head of New Business and Senior Vice President has reportedly put down his papers to pursue his own new venture. In the aftermath of his exit, Flipkart CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy is planning to rejig the team, say reports. Close on the heels of the development, Pranav Tiwari has also reportedly been onboarded as an SVP.

Menon joined Flipkart from HUL in 2015. He assumed his new role 10 months ago, heading Flipkart’s new businesses like Shopsy, Cleartrip, and ReCommerce. Previously, he SVP and Head of Wholesale and Walmart India.

Menon was made the Head of Business in July 2022 when senior executive Prakash Sikaria was planning his exit, although he decided to stay back with Flipkart eventually.

At HUL, Menon was the General Manager for West India after having served at the company for over 11 years.

In a note to the employees, Flipkart CEO Krishnamurthy said that the company will be “restructuring his portfolio under different leaders to provide specific focus.”

According to a note sent to employees, re-commerce org, which was under Menon will now go to Hemant Badri. Shopsy org will be with Amitesh Jha and Cleartrip org will be headed by Ajay Veer Yadav.
