WeWork Labs helps early stage startups scale business amidst pandemic with the Jumpstart Program

The Jumpstart Program is set to culminate with a virtual demo event which will enable our cohort startups to pitch to the early stage investor community Coupled with WeWork’s community, WeWork Labs, a centre for early stage startups, has been meticulously working towards its mission of providing its members the necessary resources to grow their business - from access to a global community and marquee investors to a prime office space and educational resources. In continuation with this legacy and keeping the startups’ growth at the forefront, the WeWork Labs Jumpstart program was launched and has been underway for the last 3 months in order to specifically aid startups in adapting to the evolving business landscape amidst the shift experienced by multiple industries. Understanding the importance of this offering and executing it during the current time of crisis has been imperative for businesses across the board and WeWork Labs has done just that. The program is gearing up for the Virtual Demo event that is set to take place on 5th June 2021. WeWork Labs, as a partner to the global innovative ecosystem, has been focusing on ensuring that startups have their fundamentals in place to grow in a post pandemic world through the Jumpstart program. Leveraging an extensive mentor and founder network with names such as Ankur Warikoo- Noted Indian Internet Entrepreneur, Rahul Agarwalla-Managing Partner at SenseAI Ventures and Shashank Randev- Founder of 100X.VC to name a few, alongside an international digital platform to connect global ecosystems, this program has been designed to provide an unfair advantage to its cohort of startups as they scale their businesses. As part of a comprehensive 12-week programme, 22 early stage startups have gained access to an expert-led curriculum, dedicated innovation workshops, focused mentorship and numerous networking opportunities. This scale up program guided the startups on navigating the current times through focus on 4 pillars of growth- strategy, operations, traction and capital and has enabled them to prepare for the Virtual Demo Day scheduled for early June. The event would open doors for these companies to pitch to the early stage investor community, giving each company’s fundraising efforts a massive boost. To add to this, the event will also include networking opportunities for all attendees, virtual kiosks for product display and a host of panel discussions with notable industry leaders. Speaking about the upcoming event, Nihal Shetty, General Manager, WeWork India says “The current climate has made it imperative for businesses to relook strategies and chart a new growth path. The Jumpstart program is focused on equipping early stage startups with the right tools necessary to scale their business, including global networking opportunities alongside preparing them to meet the investors that would take their company to the next level. We are happy with the progress of this program and are enthusiastic about the upcoming event”
