Napptix, a leading game advertising and adtech company, has announced a strategic investment in Akai Space, an AI enablement and data labelling startup founded by IIT Bombay graduates Himanshu Kumar, Kunal Purohit, and Daksh Katkar.
Akai Space specialises in high-quality data labelling through scalable crowdsourcing models, helping AI and machine-learning teams build more accurate, inclusive, and production-ready models. The startup combines human intelligence with smart workflows to deliver reliable datasets across industries.
The investment marks Napptix’s first institutional backing of Akai Space and includes a long-term technology partnership. As part of the collaboration, Akai Space will support next-generation technology development across multiple Napptix products, with a focus on future readiness and sustainability.
“Akai Space stood out because of its strong technical foundation, clear understanding of the problem, and ability to execute at scale,” said Chirag Shah, Investor and Co-founder of Napptix. “High-quality labelled data is the backbone of intelligent AI systems, and Akai Space is building this critical layer with speed and responsibility.”
“Having Napptix as our first investor and technology partner strongly validates our vision,” said Kunal Purohit, Co-founder of Akai Space. “Their focus on innovation across adtech, sustainability, and AI aligns closely with what we are building at Akai Space.”
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to responsible AI and technology development, scalable data infrastructure, and building India-origin technology solutions for global markets.
