Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has entrusted Neeraj Vyas, who formerly led Sony SAB and the network's Hindi movie and FTA channel, with additional responsibility as part of a strategic leadership move.

In his new expanded role, Vyas will oversee SPNI's Hindi language entertainment as Business Head for SET, SAB, PAL, and Hindi Movies.

Vyas is a seasoned veteran of SPNI for over twenty-seven years. With this new responsibility, he will lead SET's overall business strategy and collaborate with the team to fortify its brand and market presence. 

He began his career with SET in sales and rose to become the channel's national sales head in 2005.

He was appointed as Executive Vice President in 2011 and given responsibility for Sony MAX and Sony SAB and Sony PAL in 2017. He has successfully rebranded Sony SAB as a name synonymous with entertainment.

Under his leadership, SPNI launched its first music channel Sony Mix and later launched second music channel Sony Rox in 2017.  He went on to launch a retro movie channel- Sony Max 2 in 2014 and Sony Max HD. He also launched Sony WAH in 2015. 

He has been instrumental in heading SAB, PAL, and Hindi Movies for the past six years, guiding the movie cluster to maintain a dominant position in the market while driving SAB's exceptional growth with over 200% EBIT and close to 300% topline growth.
