Rapport, Interpublic Group's OOH division, has retained the OOH media account of Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL). The news has been confirmed to e4m by agency officials. Other agencies in the race included GroupM and Publicis. The account size is estimated to be between Rs 150 crore and Rs 200 crore.
Rapport was the incumbent agency for the FMCG major, handling the account since 2011. Prior to this, the account was with Lintas Media Group. Before that, the duties were jointly handled by Kinetic’s Portland and LMG’s Aaren Initiative.
HUL yesterday shared its financials for Oct-Dec 2024. The company said that it remains committed to its advertising and promotional activities, allocating Rs 1,507 crore during Q3 FY24, representing a 7.3% decrease compared to Rs 1,626 crore spent in Q3 FY23
For the nine months ending December 31, 2024, HUL's advertising and promotional expenses totalled Rs 4,689 crore, marking a 3.9% decrease from Rs 4,873 crore during the same period in the previous year.
Looking ahead, HUL’s total advertising and promotional expenses for the full financial year are projected to reach Rs 6,489 crore, reflecting a strategic recalibration aimed at optimising returns while ensuring sustained brand presence across various consumer touchpoints.
