Preeti Lobana to take over as Google Country Manager - India

Preeti Lobana who served most recently as VP for Google is taking over as the Permanent Country Manager for India, replacing Sanjay Gupta, who moved on from the role in July 2024, and became President for APAC.

Lobana brings over 30 years of experience in senior leadership roles across the technology and financial industries, giving her a deep understanding of the evolving Indian landscape. Her career has been marked by a consistent focus on business transformation, operational excellence, and customer experience. Most recently, she served as Google's Vice President, gTech - Process, Partner, Publisher Operations, Ads Content & Quality Operations, leading a global team and driving innovative ad solutions and support for Google’s customers and
partners.

Prior to google, Lobana has had extensive experience in the Banking and Financial Services Industry with NatWest, American Express, Standard Chartered Bank and erstwhile ANZ Grindlays Bank. Lobana is an alumnus of IIM-Ahmedabad.

The industry has been rife with speculation after Gupta's elevation, with all eyes on Google India as they settle on their new upper management.
