Netflix India unveiled its 2025 slate on February 3 at 'Next on Netflix 2025' event that was graced by stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Zeenat Aman, R Madhavan, Shefali Shah, Jaideep Ahlawat, Rana Daggubati, Ibrahim Ali Khan, Khushi Kapoor and Karan Johar.

Monika Shergill, Vice President - Content, Netflix India, shared her vision for the year, saying, "In 2025, we are taking even bigger leaps, bringing to you a staggering variety of high-quality entertainment. This year, we have tried to bring the best stories across every category and genre. From heart-melting romances and high-octane dramas to action packed thrillers and masaledaar blockbusters - everything you need will be found on Netflix. We have started the year with a fabulous story in Black Warrant and now for What's Next on Netflix - with more than 700 mn people watching, we can't just be about one thing, we try to be the best version of everything we do."

Monika revealed that Netflix now has over 300 million subscriber accounts worldwide, with over 700 million people watching stories from the creators they partner with.

Looking back at 2024, she said, "In 2024, we broke new grounds with bold storytelling and unprecedented global productions as some of the biggest creators made their streaming debut on Netflix India. From the powerful Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar to the soulful Amar Singh Chamkila, the thought-provoking Maharaj and the immersive IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack, we've presented such wonderful stories to our audiences. We laughed together at the Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show. All of this has been made possible through the incredible hard work and collaborations of our creative partners, writers, cinematographers, directors, producers, technicians. We aim to be India's most loved service."

Unveiling the slate, Monika said, "Here's to unforgettable stories, blockbuster films and the entertainment you haven't seen before — You're not ready for this!"

What's 'Next on Netflix' in 2025?

The year has an amazing lineup — from Aryan Khan's directorial debut in Ba***ds of Bollywood to Ibrahim Ali Khan's debut in Nadaaniyan, from Delhi Crime's return with Season 3 to Kapil Sharma's new season, from R Madhavan's return to romantic genre with Aap Jaisa Koi to YRF's all-women action-packed Akka. With such an incredible slate, Netflix is poised to take entertainment to the next level, offering something for every mood, taste, and preference - get ready to binge!

The most eagerly anticipated is "The Ba***ds of Bollywood" (The Bads Of Bollywood), marking Aryan Khan's directorial debut in collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment. This riveting series follows an ambitious outsider and his friends as they navigate the glamorous world of Bollywood, blending self-aware humour with high stakes and promising high-profile cameos.

Another interesting reveal from Netflix India's 2025 slate is Siddharth Anand and Mamta Anand's upcoming thriller — Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins. The film stars Saif Ali Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat, Kunal Kapoor and Nikita Dutta and has Kookie Gulati, Robbie Grewal as the directors.

Next on Netflix comes the second season of Rana Naidu - the crime drama starring Rana Daggubati and Arjun Rampal. Rana Naidu Season 2 will also have Surveen Chawla and Kriti Kharbanda joining the cast.

Emmy winning series Delhi Crime is also back in 2025 with Season 3. Shefali Shah aka Madam Sir is back, alongside Rasika Dugal and Rajesh Tailang. Sayani Gupta also joins the cast.

Delving into the dark and gritty world of Delhi Crime, actor Shefali Shah revealed, "The case is spread over the entire country and we're dealing with some badasses. This season is based on a true story and a very disturbing case, so whenever I was on set, I was terrified, I can't quantify what kind of work goes behind it."

Rajkummar Rao reunites with Sanya Malhotra for an upcoming movie Toaster, where comedy and chaos converge when a miser is fixated on a toaster that he has gifted in a wedding. The film is co-produced by Rao's wife Patralekhaa and is directed by Vivek Das Chaudhary.

Dharma Productions presents two exciting new romance films for 2025. First up is "Nadaaniyan", a modern romance that marks the acting debut of Ibrahim Ali Khan, starring alongside Khushi Kapoor. Additionally, Karan Johar unveils "Aap Jaisa Koi", a romantic film featuring R Madhavan and Fatima Sana Shaikh. This heartwarming tale explores love across different age groups and backgrounds, celebrating the universal power of romance.

Veteran actor R Madhavan, who returned to the romance genre in Bollywood after a long time, said, "I was looking for age-appropriate romance and that's when this movie script came and the king of romantic movie production - Karan Johar is the producer here, so I came onboard and had a great time working on the film."

On Valentine's Day (February 14), get ready to fall in love with "Dhoom Dhaam", a romantic film starring Yami Gautam Dhar and Pratik Gandhi, directed by Rishab Seth for Jio Studios and B62 Studios.

For fans of Tamil drama, "Test" is a must-watch, unfolding during a historic cricket match in Chennai. Directed by S. Sashikanth as an A YNOT Studios Production, this gripping tale stars R. Madhavan, Nayanthara, and Siddharth as three individuals from different worlds whose lives collide in life-altering ways.

Director Neeraj Pandey's "Khakee: The Bengal Chapter" is another highly anticipated release, set in Bengal in the early 2000s. The series stars Jeet, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Saswata Chatterjee, and Parambrata Chatterjee, among others.

More exciting releases include "The Royals", a romantic comedy that follows the unlikely love story between an arrogant Indian prince and a driven startup CEO; and "Mandala Murders", a mystery infused with supernatural undertones from powerhouse studio Yash Raj Films (YRF).

Get ready for a thrilling ride with "Glory", which brings together Divyenndu, Pulkit Samrat, and Suvinder Vicky in a tale of vengeance and Olympic boxing aspirations. YRF Entertainment's "Akka" is another highly anticipated release, starring Keerty Suresh, Radhika Apte, and Tanvi Azmi in a narrative set in 1980s fictional Pernuru, where gangster queens face an unseen threat to their matriarchal rule.

Fan favorites return with new seasons, including "Kohrra", which welcomes Mona Singh alongside Barun Sobti. Last but not least, "The Great Indian Kapil Show" returns for a third season with its original team, including Kapil Sharma, Sunil Grover, Archana Puran Singh, and Krushna Abhishek, promising more laughter and entertainment than ever before!
