FMCG giant Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) has officially completed its acquisition of men’s grooming brand Muuchstac in a landmark deal valued at ?7,450 crore. The announcement was made by Sudhir Sitapati, Managing Director and CEO of GCPL, who shared the news through a social media post on November 10, 2025. Sitapati highlighted that the acquisition was struck at a compelling valuation for GCPL, while offering Muuchstac’s founders, Vishal Lohia and Ronak Bagadia, an extraordinary return exceeding 15,000 times their initial investment.
As part of the arrangement, both Lohia and Bagadia will continue to lead Muuchstac’s operations under the GCPL umbrella. Sitapati expressed strong confidence in their leadership, noting that if the duo could build the brand to this scale with minimal resources, the possibilities ahead with GCPL’s backing are significantly greater.
Sharing key performance insights, Sitapati revealed that Muuchstac Face Wash currently ranks as the second-largest men’s face wash brand in the online market and is likely the third-largest overall, even after factoring in offline sales. He also underlined the founders’ disciplined financial approach: apart from their initial investment of ?3 lakh in 2017–18, the brand has not incurred losses in any year. Every step of Muuchstac’s growth has been funded purely through operational profits, making the acquisition a standout success story in India’s D2C landscape
