Jeff Bezos also announced that the online retail giant will use its "size, scope and scale” to export ‘Make-in-India’ goods worth S10 billion by 2025 Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos who is in India on a three-day visit for announced that the e-commerce giant will pledge $1 billion (approximately Rs 7,000 crore) towards digitising small and medium businesses in the country. The investment is directed towards 10 million MSMEs across India. Bezos who arrived on Tuesday made the announcement at the Amazon SMBhav in Delhi, an event that brought together more than 3,000 small business owners in India. He also announced that the online retail giant will use its "size, scope and scale” to export ‘Make-in-India’ goods worth S10 billion by 2025. Amazon has also pledged of $5.5 billion in investments in India, calling the country an important growth market for the ecom giant. Bezos is also expected to hold meetings with major corporates and government organisations during the visit.
