In a strong rebuttal against fraudulent job postings, Suresh Narayanan, Chairman & Managing Director of Nestlé India, has called out a fake LinkedIn job ad falsely claiming bulk hiring by the company. Taking to LinkedIn, Narayanan urged young professionals to be cautious and not fall for such misleading advertisements.
The fraudulent post, made under the name of an individual claiming to be a recruiter, falsely announced a largescale hiring drive for 2025, targeting both freshers and experienced candidates. The listing promised lucrative benefits, including a salary package of INR 48,000 per month, work-from-home opportunities, and a five-day work week. It also included a suspicious external link for job applications.
Narayanan unequivocally stated that Nestlé does not use such formats, language, or false promises to attract talent. He emphasized the importance of vigilance, calling out the unscrupulous individuals behind such scams who exploit job seekers' vulnerabilities. In his post, he tagged senior colleagues, urging immediate action against the fraudulent listing.
With LinkedIn emerging as a primary platform for job seekers and recruiters, fake job postings have become a growing concern. Fraudsters often exploit the trust associated with reputed brands by posting deceptive job ads with the intent of gathering personal data, scamming applicants for money, or redirecting them to malicious sites
For brands like Nestlé, such fraudulent posts pose not only reputational risks but also ethical concerns, as they prey on vulnerable job seekers.
