Indian users have spent 10.6 billion hours on news sites and apps in 2024, says data from ComScore.
The country also saw 524 million unique visitors on digital platforms as of December, surpassing figures of both US and Indonesia.
Among India's digital users, 63% were male and 37% female. The data further shows that the majority of the users were in the 15-34 age group.
While there hasn't been a significant increase in the number of internet users in India, a shift is being seen in how people interact on online platforms, the report says.
As per ComScore, over 500 million unique visitors consumed content on mobile apps with 400 million on mobile web.
There has been a growth in CTV audience that has increased 21% to 96 million. Data shows that 40% of digital users have shown affinity towards YouTube.
