BCCL denies rumours of a Times of India Group sale

Bennett, Coleman and Company has circulated an internal memo dismissing rumours and speculation that the Times of India Group is up for sale.
According to reports, Sivakumar Sundaram, CEO and Executive Director of BCCL, stated in the internal note that the claims were completely untrue.
Stakeholders of the Times of India Group will continue to remain fully “committed to this institution, to independent journalism,” Sundaram was quoted as saying in the communication.
BCCL recorded a 4.3% year-on-year increase in consolidated revenue from operations for FY25. Meanwhile, the publisher’s profit jumped 53% compared to FY24.
