WPP brings creative agency Grey under Ogilvy

WPP has decided to bring its creative agency Grey under Ogilvy. 

Grey was so far reporting to AKQA. As per media reports, the change is in line with AKQA looking at the appointment of a global CEO. 

Grey's global CEO Laura Mess will be reporting directly to Ogilvy's global CEO Devika Bulchandani, reported a publication.

Ogilvy and Grey have said in internal memos that the new structure was not indicative of a merger but a change in financial reporting.

According to Bulchandani's memo, Grey will continue to be a standalone agency. Reports quoted a WPP spokesperson as saying that the move allows each agency to focus on its core strength.
