Uthara Ganesh has been promoted to Head of Public Policy for APAC at Snap Inc., where she will oversee the company’s public policy initiatives across the Asia-Pacific region. Previously, she served as Head of Public Policy for India and South Asia.
Announcing her promotion on LinkedIn, Uthara wrote, "I have news. I've recently taken on an expanded role at Snap Inc. as Head of Public Policy for APAC."
She has been with Snap Inc. for over four years, progressively taking on broader responsibilities. Prior to Snap, Uthara spent more than two years at Amazon Web Services, gaining expertise in technology policy and regulatory affairs. Her promotion underscores Snap’s commitment to bolstering public policy leadership across the APAC region.
With over 15 years of experience, Uthara specializes in privacy and data protection, AI governance, cloud computing, OTT services, digital taxation, and online content regulation.
