The Trade Desk appoints Anders Mortensen as Chief Revenue Officer

The Trade Desk has announced the appointment of Anders Mortensen as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), effective November 4. He succeeds Jed Dederick, who will step down from the role after more than 13 years of service at the company. Dederick will continue with The Trade Desk through the end of the year, working closely with Mortensen to ensure a smooth and seamless transition of responsibilities.

Mortensen will oversee global revenue generation and will report directly to Jeff Green, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of The Trade Desk.

Mortensen brings 25 years of experience in global leadership and digital advertising, with a focus on building and scaling commercial teams. Most recently, he served as Managing Director (and newly promoted VP) at Google.

During his more than ten years at Google, Mortensen held several leadership roles, including leading the U.S. Agency and Channel Partner businesses and launching and expanding the Google Marketing Platform in the Americas Mid-Market. Prior to joining Google, he served as General Manager at Fujitsu.

“I’m excited and honoured to welcome Anders to The Trade Desk as our new Chief Revenue Officer,” said Green. “The addition of Anders reflects our vision and ambition for the future. At Google, Anders was an amazing force of growth for advertisers and agencies that were themselves growing. I believe Anders will bring structure and a framework that focuses on scaling our amazing sales and go-to-market engine. By combining TTD’s unparalleled vision for the open internet with Anders’ passion and discipline for growing businesses, I’m extremely confident in our ability to scale our business and the open internet to heights never seen before.”

“The Trade Desk is the clear, independent leader defining the future of the open internet. I'm excited to join Jeff and the team to accelerate this new era of growth, particularly within high-ROI channels like Connected TV and Retail Media,” said Mortensen. “My focus will be on ensuring our global commercial strategy harnesses the full power of Kokai, Koa AI and industry innovations such as Unified ID 2.0 and OpenPath. In doing so we will drive maximum performance, deliver measurable outcomes, and maximize ROI for every single client globally.”
