The Indian Express Group has announced that journalist Saurabh Dwivedi will be joining the organisation, according to an internal message from Executive Director Anant Goenka.
In the note, Goenka lauded Dwivedi's contributions to visual journalism in India, calling his work “a youthful space defined by intelligence, patience and quality rather than noise and sensationalism.” He noted that Dwivedi’s voice is “distinctive, curious without being combative,” and one that “invites conversation rather than shutting it down.”
Goenka emphasized Dwivedi’s “restless hunger for the story,” his empathy for diverse perspectives, and his consistent effort to connect with audiences in a relatable way. He added that these qualities closely reflect the values long associated with the Indian Express—credibility, fairness, and accuracy.
Dwivedi will report to Chief Editor Raj Kamal Jha, with Goenka expressing confidence that he will help broaden the organisation’s journalism and strengthen its investigative and explanatory reporting for a growing Hindi readership.
In January, em reported that Dwivedi had joined the Indian Express Group following his exit from the India Today Group. Dwivedi had spent 12 years at India Today and was the face of Lallantop.
