Raktim Das is all set to join Zee Media Corporation Limited (ZMCL) as the CEO, e4m has learnt from highly placed sources.
Das replaces Karan Abhishek Singh. He recently resigned as the Chief Growth Officer (Digital & Broadcasting) at TV9 Network. E4m has learnt that October 31, 2025 will be his last day with the company. At TV9, Das oversaw growth strategies across broadcast, digital and OTT platforms while leading Studio9, the network’s branded content powerhouse.
Earlier, as COO of TV9 Studio, Das steered content innovation and revenue initiatives. At Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited, he headed Innovation Studio and Custom Content, delivering award-winning brand collaborations and campaigns. As Founder of SMEpost.com, he pioneered India’s first digital platform for the SME sector, amplifying its voice and business reach.
His leadership journey also spans key roles at Network18 Media & Investments Limited, NewsX, Zee News Limited, India Today Group and The Times of India. At Zee Business, he drove a turnaround that made it a market leader, while at India Today, he launched marquee international media brands and built events into a robust revenue model.
Recognized for combining editorial, business and brand innovation, Raktim has consistently shaped new content led monetization models and strategic growth platforms. His career reflects a rare blend of creative strategy, revenue leadership, and media transformation expertise.
We at exchange4media reached out to top management of TV9 as well as Raktim Das and multiple mails and texts went unanswered.
Raktim Das has been working very closely with top management of TV9 and there is a likely hood that Manish Seth is also likely to move on soon. However, when it comes to senior level movements both the organisation and the leader stay tight lipped and until the exit has happened one is not sure and as there are confirmations in this case we will update all our e4m readers. There is always a possibility of being retained which can never be ruled out though in this case that possibility seems distant.
