Alongside this appointment, the Groupe has elevated Gautam Surath to the role of Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer, where he will lead a newly formed team. In his expanded mandate, Surath will focus on strengthening and scaling capabilities across Influence, Data & Analytics, Search, Commerce, Programmatic and Martech, while also supporting a seamless transition as Kazi takes charge. His work integrating media, ecommerce, data, AI and performance marketing has been instrumental in shaping Performics India’s growth and delivery excellence.
Kazi brings more than two decades of experience across digital media, technology and data-led marketing, with a strong track record of driving programmatic maturity, platform-led solutions and large-scale transformation for leading brands. His appointment builds on the momentum Performics India has achieved in recent years and underlines its strategic role in driving the Groupe’s future growth.
Commenting on the appointments, Lalatendu Das, CEO, Publicis Media South Asia, said, “Atique’s appointment marks a significant evolution for Performics India. His depth of expertise, clarity of vision and ability to scale complex digital ecosystems make him a strong addition to our leadership team. At the same time, Gautam’s elevation to lead the Strategy & Transformation Office further strengthens the Groupe. His leadership in integrating media, data, AI and commerce has been central to Performics India’s progress, and his new role allows us to double down on the capabilities that will define the future of Publicis Media. Together, these moves position us to accelerate client growth and sharpen our competitive edge across the region.”
Speaking on his new role, Gautam Surath said, “It has been a privilege to be part of Performics India’s growth journey and to build what our teams have achieved together. In this new role, I look forward to further strengthening the Groupe’s capabilities across data, influence, technology and performance—areas that are increasingly critical to client growth. I’m excited to support Atique during this transition and to work closely with the leadership team to drive the next phase of momentum for Publicis Media.”
Atique Kazi, CEO, Performics India, added, “Performics India is at a defining point where data, technology and creativity come together to create powerful opportunities for brands. I’m energised by the scale of what lies ahead and by the talent across the organisation. Together, we will build solutions that are not only innovative but truly transformational for our clients, shaping the next chapter of Performics’ growth within Publicis Groupe.”
