Dentsu Appoints Harini Muralidharan as Chief People Officer for South Asia

Dentsu has elevated Harini Muralidharan to Chief People Officer (CPO) for its South Asia operations, marking a key leadership shift within the network. Muralidharan, who has been part of dentsu for more than three years, assumes the role after contributing across several senior HR leadership positions within the organisation. In her latest assignment, she served as Cluster HR Director – India, Financial Services & India Business Platforms, overseeing operations across India and Sri Lanka. Her mandate included driving commercial growth, managing global finance services, and leading cross-functional initiatives to enhance alignment, efficiency, and strategic coherence across various business verticals. Prior to this, she led HR for dentsu’s Global Financial Services, Transformation, and Business Platforms teams, playing a pivotal role in shaping the company’s long-term talent strategy, leadership development, and organisational effectiveness during a crucial phase of change.

Muralidharan brings more than 20 years of HR experience from global organisations including Tesco, Juniper Networks, Ericsson, NetApp, and Infosys. She has spearheaded major HR programmes, navigated organisational transitions, led compensation restructuring, and driven culture-building projects. Her work has contributed to significant improvements in Great Place to Work rankings and strengthened employee advocacy across multiple companies.
