Britannia Industries Limited has appointed Puneet Das as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and promoted Siddharth Gupta from General Manager - Marketing to Vice President - Marketing. Das’ appointment takes effect from February 16, while Gupta’s promotion is effective February 1.
Das brings over 24 years of experience in Indian and international FMCG markets, including Africa, Bangladesh, Myanmar, and Sri Lanka. He has held senior leadership roles at renowned companies such as Marico Limited, PepsiCo India, GSK Consumer Healthcare India, and Tata Consumer Products Limited, working on iconic brands like 7Up, Boost, Horlicks, Tata Tea, and Tetley.
Gupta, who has been with Britannia since 2018, oversees marketing for the company’s Biscuit, Wafer, and Snack portfolio—a key revenue driver. His promotion underscores Britannia’s focus on leadership continuity and nurturing internal talent. With nearly 20 years of experience, Gupta has expertise in brand management, strategy, innovation, communications, customer marketing, and sales. Prior to Britannia, he spent over a decade at Colgate Palmolive, starting as a Management Trainee in 2006 and eventually leading marketing for major toothpaste categories including Freshness, Whitening, and Sensitivity.
