ZMCL's YoY revenue up 22% at Rs 160 crore
Ad revenue drops by 5.5% YoY in Q3 FY25

                                                    Zee Media Corp Ltd (ZMCL) earned Rs 159.4 crore revenue from operations in the quarter ended December 31, 2024. This is a slight decline of 4.7% from Rs 167.3 crore in the third quarter of the previous fiscal. But it is 22% higher on QoQ basis compared to Rs 130.7 crore in Q2 of FY25.
The media giant narrowed its losses by 37%, from Rs 35.9 crore in the previous year’s December ended quarter to Rs 22.42 crore in the ongoing fiscal’s Q3. The losses amounted to Rs 45.8 crore in Q2 of FY25.
The advertising revenue stood at Rs 148.4 crore for Q3 FY25, marking a 5.5% decline from Rs 157 crore in the third quarter of the previous fiscal. On a QoQ basis, the ad revenue jumped by 24.5% from Rs 119.2 crore in the September ended quarter.
The subscription revenue grew by 7.9% YoY from Rs 10.1 crore in Q3 of previous fiscal to Rs 10.9 crore in Q3 FY25. But this declined by 3.5% on a QoQ basis where the figure stood at Rs 11.4 crore in Q2 of FY25.
The company’s press release mentioned that, “Zee News has significantly improved its market reach, now ranking 4th with an impressive 53.5 million viewers. Zee Business is leading the Hindi Business news segment with 68.8% market share, average weekly reach of 1.08 mn and 34.5 minutes.”
Their digital portfolio recorded 2 billion pageviews in Q3 FY25, and MAU of 231 million in Q3 FY25, as specified by the official press release.
