Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles has introduced a new corporate film built around its long-term approach called ‘Better Always’, a phrase the company uses to describe steady, ongoing progress in India’s mobility ecosystem through engineering, improvement, and purpose-driven work.
The film is anchored in a line by the late Piyush Pandey: “Yeh jo humari gaadi hai, Bharat ispe aage badhta hai.” The thought reflects his understanding of India, its people, and the value of everyday effort. His belief that brands should speak with honesty and emotional clarity influenced the direction of the film, shaping a tone that focuses on dignity and lived reality rather than spectacle.
The line draws a link between commercial vehicles and the country’s growth, highlighting how transport supports daily life and economic activity. Pandey’s involvement in shaping the idea played a key role in defining the emotional core of the film.
Conceptualised and executed by Ogilvy India, the film shifts attention from machines to the people behind the wheel. It spotlights drivers, fleet owners, and small entrepreneurs whose work keeps goods and services moving. Shot across different parts of the country, the film follows their journeys, reflecting themes of hard work, responsibility, and pride in earning a living. Through these stories, the film underlines Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles’ focus on supporting livelihoods.
‘Better Always’ is positioned not as a campaign slogan but as a working philosophy. It reflects the view that progress is ongoing and built through consistent effort. The idea guides how Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles approaches product development, manufacturing, and service, with the aim of helping move the country forward each day.
Mr. Sudeep Bhalla, Head-Corporate Communications, Tata Motors, said, “‘Better Always’ reflects our belief that progress is a continuous journey, and it is our responsibility to relentlessly raise the standards for the nation we serve. It reinforces our long-term commitment to strengthening India’s mobility ecosystem with purpose and resilience. It signifies our focus on continuous improvement across products, services and solutions as we closely work with customers and stakeholders to foster sustainable growth, shared progress, and collective success.”
Chief Creative Officer, Ogilvy West, Mr. Anurag Agnihotri said, “Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles has a legacy. It has participated in nation building. Yet it is a new entity, all charged up and looking forward to a better future. The vehicles carry not just material, but meaning: raw resources, infrastructure, lives, livelihoods, and dreams. The ad talks about this significant yet everyday role Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles plays in the act of nation building.”
The corporate film is now live across digital platforms, television, and cinemas, presenting the ‘Better Always’ idea as a reflection of Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles’ past work and its ongoing direction.
