The playoff lineup has also been finalised. Qualifier 1 on May 29, Eliminator on May 30, Qualifier 2 on June 1 and Final on June 3.
Venue details for the playoff fixtures will be announced soon.
In a statement, BCCI Honorary Secretary Devajit Saikia expressed gratitude to India’s armed forces, acknowledging their pivotal role in ensuring the safe resumption of cricket in the country.
“The Board takes this opportunity to once again salute the bravery and resilience of India’s armed forces, whose efforts have enabled the safe return of cricket,” the advisory noted.
The BCCI also reaffirmed its commitment to national interest, emphasizing the importance of balancing the safety of players and fans with the spirit of the game.
Last week, amid the rising tensions, the IPL in Dharamsala was called off mid-way. Around the same time, there was a total blackout less than 100 km away in Pathankot, because of a drone strike.
