Elon Musk has apologised for his antisemitic post on X, calling it the "dumbest ever" social media post. However, he was in no mood to spare advertisers who had left the platform due to rise of antisemitism seen on X.

Swearing in front of a live audience that as per media reports included X CEO Linda Yaccarino, Musk spoke against "blackmail with advertising or money".

While calling 2023, a "hell of a year", Musk said that he did sometimes say "the wrong thing".

The brands who have recently left X include Disney, Paramount, NBC Universal, Lionsgate and Warner Bros.
