The streaming platform’s ad revenue for FY23 grew by 17% and subscription revenue increased 49%

Disney+ Hotstar revenue up 35% in FY23

Novi Digital Entertainment, the company which owns, operates and manages Star India's streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar, has reported a total turnover of Rs 4,340.79 crore for the period 2022-23. The platform’s revenue from operations increased by 34.79% as compared to Rs 3,220.41 crore in the previous financial year.

Meanwhile, the streaming platform has incurred a loss of Rs 748.34 as compared to a loss of Rs 343.16 in the previous financial year.

According to the company's financial data, accessed by business intelligence platform Tofler, the streaming platforms’ advertisement revenue for FY23 grew 17.25% to Rs 1974.80 in FY23 compared to Rs 1684.31 crore in the previous fiscal.

Meanwhile, the company’s subscription revenue has increased 49.32% to Rs 2051.03 crore for the fiscal ended March 31, 2023, against Rs 1373.61 crore in the previous fiscal. The revenue from licensing of content rights revenue grew 93.83% to Rs 314.96 crore compared to Rs 162.49 crore in FY22.
