Polycab India significantly ramped up its advertising and promotional spending in Q3 FY26, coinciding with a robust rebound in revenue and profitability, signaling an assertive brand push amid strong demand.
Ad expenditure surged to Rs 91.02 crore in Q3 FY26, more than doubling from Rs 37.23 crore in the same quarter last year, representing a year-on-year increase of over 144%. This rise in marketing outlay accompanied a strong topline performance during the festive-heavy quarter.
For the quarter ended December 31, 2025, Polycab reported revenue from operations of Rs 7,636.13 crore, up 49.5% from Rs 5,106.29 crore in Q3 FY25. Sequentially, revenue grew 46.1% from Rs 5,226.06 crore in Q2 FY26.
Total income for the quarter stood at Rs 7,686.58 crore, compared with Rs 5,251.07 crore in Q2 FY26 and Rs 5,146.60 crore a year ago, marking a 46.4% quarter-on-quarter rise and a 49.3% year-on-year increase.
Profitability strengthened despite higher advertising and operating costs. Profit before tax rose to Rs 842.20 crore in Q3 FY26, up 38.1% from Rs 609.57 crore in the year-ago quarter and 36.6% higher than Rs 616.57 crore in Q2 FY26. Net profit for the quarter stood at Rs 630.17 crore, up 41.3% year-on-year from Rs 446.00 crore in Q3 FY25 and 35.7% sequentially from Rs 464.35 crore in the previous quarter.
The sharp increase in advertising spend underscores Polycab’s renewed focus on brand visibility and demand capture during the peak festive season, with higher scale and operating leverage enabling the company to absorb elevated marketing costs without impacting margins.
