Sony Pictures Networks India Appoints Ankur Shrivastava as Associate Vice President

Ankur Shrivastava has announced via LinkedIn that he has joined Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) as Associate Vice President, marking a new chapter in his media industry career. Prior to this, he served as Director, LCS, at JioStar.

In his new role at SPNI, Shrivastava will be responsible for planning, delivering and optimising revenue across the South region for Hindi General Entertainment Channels (GECs). His mandate includes driving advertising sales by building a robust pipeline, closing high-value deals, and maximising monetisation opportunities in collaboration with clients, media agencies and strategic partners.

He will also lead the development and execution of regional business plans aligned with SPNI’s national strategy, covering revenue targets, go-to-market approaches, pricing frameworks and inventory management. A key focus of his role will be strengthening senior-level relationships with media agencies, key advertisers and strategic accounts, positioning Sony as a preferred network in the region.

Shrivastava brings over 13 years of experience in business development and strategic partnerships within the media sector. Before joining JioStar, he spent nearly seven years at Viacom18 Media Private Limited, where he last served as Director. His earlier career includes stints at Star TV Network, Reliance Broadcast Network Ltd (92.7 BIG FM), and UBM India Pvt Ltd.With his appointment, Sony Pictures Networks India aims to further strengthen its regional revenue leadership and deepen advertiser partnerships across key southern markets.
