NDTV has appointed Prakaran Tiwari, fondly known as Prax, as Chief Executive Producer for NDTV Profit & Marathi, marking a significant addition to its leadership team as the network undergoes a transformative phase.
With over two decades in news broadcasting, production strategy, and studio innovation, Tiwari has been instrumental in shaping India’s media landscape. At CNBC-TV18, he played a pivotal role in launching the country’s first business news channel, building nine state-of-the-art studios, and delivering more than 50 shows and 1,000 videos. His expertise spans editorial, production, and leadership functions, with a proven track record in managing large teams and scaling newsroom operations.
Tiwari also made a mark at Moneycontrol.com, where he drove the platform’s multimedia content strategy, spearheaded digital-first formats, and expanded its visual storytelling footprint. More recently, he has been directing coverage of major sporting events, including the IPL and the Cricket World Cup, and leading global video and social media strategies for the CMT Association. He was part of the production team at COP28 in Dubai and has built content studios for leading brokerages and mutual funds in India.
His appointment is seen as part of NDTV’s commitment to deliver faster, sharper, and more engaging content across platforms, backed by smarter systems and innovative storytelling.
