NDTV has appointed Koreel Lahiri as its new Chief of Strategy and Innovation, bringing on board more than 25 years of experience across Asia’s content landscape and capital markets. Known for his strong strategic acumen and deep understanding of the evolving media ecosystem, Lahiri is set to play a pivotal role in strengthening NDTV’s future-ready vision. Lahiri has previously held senior leadership positions spanning financial news, corporate strategy, and regional investment. His career includes key roles at Bloomberg TV India and CNBC TV18, a corporate strategy mandate at The Times Group, and serving as Investment Director Asia at MDIF. His expertise cuts across media, creator platforms, edtech, civic tech, and SaaS, with a sharp focus on engaging Gen Z and Gen Alpha audiences.
Over the years, he has managed investments exceeding $250 million, raised Asia-focused micro funds, and driven exceptional revenue and valuation growth for both content and tech organisations. Beyond investment leadership, Lahiri has mentored and advised digital-first ventures including InMobi (Glance) and YourStory. He is also an active contributor to global initiatives such as the Google News Startups Lab and Columbia University programmes.
