Goodby Silverstein & Partners (GS&P) has appointed advertising veteran Sarah Thompson as its first-ever CEO. Thompson spent 15 years at Droga5, including five as Global CEO, where she played a pivotal role in the agency’s rapid rise and global expansion.
After leaving Accenture in 2023, Thompson launched her own brand consultancy and pursued other ventures.
Earlier in her career, she held account roles at BBH, KBS, MullenLowe, and GS&P itself, where she began her advertising journey.
This is Thompson’s second stint at GS&P. She was with the agency in early in her career. “Sarah has a rare ability to rally people around a shared ambition—growing client businesses through creativity,” agency co-founder Jeff Goodby was quoted as saying in news reports.
She will be based out of GS&P’s New York office and focus on expanding the agency’s footprint with clients, including BMW, MINI, Frito-Lay, and Comcast, the agency has said.
