Nothing has appointed Charlie Smith as its new Chief Brand Officer.
Before joining Nothing, Charlie served as the Chief Marketing & Communications Officer at Loewe.
In his new role, he will be part of Nothing’s executive team and lead global brand strategy, marketing, communications, image, and store design. He will report directly to co-founder and CEO Carl Pei.
Carl Pei said, “Charlie has worked at the crossroads of luxury, creativity, and technology, helping Loewe become one of the most influential brands for Gen Z worldwide. Our goal is to build the most loved tech company for the next generation, and Charlie is the perfect person to help us rethink what consumer tech can be.”
Reflecting on his move, Charlie said, “It has been an incredible journey working with Jonathan Anderson, Pascale Lepoivre, and the amazing team at Loewe over the past seven years. As the brand enters an exciting new chapter under Jack and Lazaro, it’s the right time for me to begin my next journey.
“I’m thrilled to join Nothing and work with another visionary, Carl Pei. I’m eager to challenge the status quo and help shape a more creative and meaningful future for technology. Moving from luxury fashion to consumer tech is a big shift, but one that inspires me. Nothing’s vision—that technology should be joyful, culturally connected, and help us live better—truly resonates with me.”
Charlie will officially begin his role at Nothing in January.
