Brian Vella, Chief Executive of Asia Pacific at AKQA, has decided to move on from the organisation after 24 years.
He shared the news of his departure through a LinkedIn post. Previously, Vella was DT, a company that was merged with AKQA in June 2017.
“It’s difficult to put into words what leaving a company after 24 years feels like, but grateful is the one I keep returning to. Reading Limitless all those years ago inspired a dream, and working on your team made it real. Your passion, purpose and values were a constant inspiration.
Earlier, a dozen formative years with David Trewern was an 11 year masterclass in entrepreneurship. Together with Bet, you backed me from day one and always saw my potential, even when I didn’t”, the LinkedIn post read.
In his post, Vella stated that he is taking some time to recharge, reflect and explore new opportunities where design, innovation and commerce meet.
