Madhavan Sekar has been elevated to Head of Marketing for Amazon Pay at Amazon. He shared the news of his promotion through a LinkedIn post.
“I’m humbled to share that I’m starting a new position as Head of Marketing - Amazon Pay at Amazon”, he stated in his LinkedIn post.
In his post, Sekar expressed excitement, saying he is looking forward to engaging deeply with financial services and payments industry.
Madhavan Sekar joined Amazon in March 2024.
Prior to his elevation, Sekar held the role of Category Leader - UPI at Amazon Pay.
Sekar is an accomplished Marketing and Sales Professional with over 15 years of industry expertise and learnings across sales, marketing and tech across FMCG, e-commerce, IT and Retail.
He is experienced in creating customer-centric businesses and brands, handling multiple critical businesses & brands across multi-year cycles to lead organizational growth, market share and profitability gains consistently.
In his previous stints, Sekar has worked with companies like SAJ Food Products, Reliance Retail, Britannia Industries, and Tata Consultancy Services
