Abhishek Lahiri has joined MasterCard as Vice President-Public Policy. Lahiri was earlier with Google as Head -Public Policy, Fintech & Payments.
The news was shared by Lahiri in a LinkedIn post, “Happy to share that I have joined MasterCard this week. I will be driving the Public Policy agenda for South Asia markets.
Mastercard had an incredible journey in India n South Asia region with a clear focus on powering economies n empowering citizen, small businesses digitally,” he wrote in the post.
“As Mastercard continues its humble strive to be an ally and further Govts vision to digitize the economy, I look forward to collaborate with all our stakeholders, partners and the ecosystem. Financial Inclusion is core to Mastercards business philosophy and we will continue to do our bit to build, scale, deepen ecosystem efforts towards building a truly inclusive fintech led digital economy and a Viksit Bharat,” he added.
Lahiri has in the past worked with Amazon, Meta, and PwC India.
