Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to present the country's first-ever National Creators Award at 10:30 am on Friday. The prestigious award ceremony will take place at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi, with immense public engagement anticipated, as evidenced by more than 1.5 lakh nominations and around 10 lakh votes cast.

In a statement on social media platform X, Prime Minister Modi expressed his excitement about the awards, saying, "At 10:30 AM tomorrow, 8th March, I will be presenting the first ever National Creators Award. These Awards are a celebration of innovation, creativity and the remarkable spirit of the creator's community."

The National Creators Award is a pioneering initiative aimed at recognizing excellence across various domains including storytelling, social change advocacy, environmental sustainability, education, and gaming. It serves as a platform to honor creativity and innovation that inspires beneficial transformation.

The awards will span across twenty categories, encompassing diverse fields such as storytelling, social impact, environmental advocacy, and cultural representation. Categories include "Best Storyteller," "Disruptor of the Year," "Celebrity Creator of the Year," "Green Champion," "Best Creator For Social Change," "Cultural Ambassador of The Year," and an "International Creator" category, among others.

The list of nominees for the National Creators Award features a mix of established professionals and emerging talents from various walks of life. Notable nominees include celebrity creators like Katrina Kaif, Kangana Ranaut, Jackie Shroff, Sadhguru, Yash, and Sunil Chhetri, as well as prominent storytellers, disruptors, green champions, and creators for social change.

With the inaugural National Creators Award, the government aims to honor and celebrate the outstanding contributions of creators across diverse fields, recognizing their role in driving positive change and inspiring innovation. The event underscores the importance of creativity and ingenuity in shaping a brighter future for India and the world.
