NDTV profit declines by 26% to Rs 9.5 cr in Q3 FY’24

Adani Group owned-NDTV has reported a decline in its operating revenue by 7% in the third quarter of the financial year 2024 compared to the same period last fiscal.

According to the Q3 FY24 results announced by New Delhi Television Ltd (NDTV), the company’s revenue from operations stood at Rs 97.95 crore in Q3 FY24, down from Rs 105.37 crore in Q3 FY23.

The media house’s profit after tax (PAT) stood at Rs 9.5 crore in Q3 FY24, down from Rs 12.9 crore during the same period last financial year.

The company reported a net loss before tax at Rs 9.88 crore in Q3 FY24. During the same period in the last fiscal, it had reported a net profit before tax of Rs 20.19 crore.

The company also announced that the network now has a bouquet of five news channels, up from two at the beginning of the financial year.

“NDTV is monitoring revenue enhancement for its recently launched regional channels and the business channel, which are the main contributors to the EBITDA loss incurred by the network during the quarter,” it said.

Total expenses of the company during Q3 FY24 were Rs 110.23 crores, up from Rs 88.27 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.

It said that the company is in an expansion mode and is investing in infrastructure and resources to increase its network of channels and footprint across the country.
