Revenue up 8% in FY25; broadband user base grows, data consumption jumps 11% amid steady expansion across cable and internet services

GTPL Hathway adds 100K cable subscribers, broadband ARPU up despite industry headwinds

GTPL Hathway Limited has added 100,000 active cable subscribers in FY25, taking the total to 9.60 million as of March 31, 2025. Despite challenges in the media and broadband landscape, the company also reported a rise in broadband ARPU(average revenue per user) to Rs465 per month—up Rs5 year-on-year—along with an 11% increase in average monthly data consumption per user.

The company announced its financial results for the fourth quarter and full financial year ended March 31, 2025, reporting a 10% year-on-year rise in Q4 revenue at Rs 8,989 million. Annual revenue for FY25 stood at Rs 35,072 million, marking an 8% increase over the previous fiscal. Broadband revenue grew 4% year-on-year to Rs 5,456 million.

Q4 FY25 EBITDA was reported at Rs1,144 million with an EBITDA margin of 12.7%, while operating EBITDA margin stood at 22%. For the full year, EBITDA stood at Rs4,625 million with a margin of 13.2%. Profit After Tax (PAT) for Q4 stood at Rs105 million, with annual PAT at Rs479 million. 

The board of directors has recommended a dividend of Rs 2 per share for FY25 (20% of face value).

GTPL’s paying subscribers also rose by 100,000 year-on-year to 8.90 million. Subscription revenue from the cable TV segment touched Rs2,982 million in Q4 and Rs12,327 million for the full year. The company also signed a 10-year Grant of Permission Agreement (GOPA) with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to provide Headend-in-the-Sky (HITS) services.

GTPL also added 25,000 broadband subscribers in FY25, taking the total to 1.045 million. Homepass reached 5.95 million, with 75% of it ready for FTTX conversion. Broadband revenue for Q4 grew to ?1,358 million, supported by improved consumption patterns and increased ARPU.
