Disney, Fox and Warner Bros Discovery to jointly launch sports streaming platform

Fox Corp, Walt Disney's ESPN and Warner Bros Discovery have announced that they will launch a sports streaming platform targeted at younger audiences who don't prefer television.The companies will reportedly enter into a joint venture to launch the service based on their professional and collegiate sports rights portfolio.The service is yet to be named and would reportedly include TV content from channels like ESPN, FS1 and TNT apart from the sports content. The platform will be available as part of a Disney+, Hulu or Max streaming bundle.The platform will host tournaments such as the National Football League, the National Basketball Association, Major League Baseball, FIFA World Cup and other college leagues."This means the full suite of ESPN channels will be available to consumers alongside the sports programming of other leaders," said Disney CEO Bob Iger.
