Coca-Cola India delivered a strong profitability performance in the financial year ended March 2025, reporting a 46% year-on-year rise in net profit, supported by steady revenue growth and tighter control over expenses.The company’s consolidated revenue increased 6.98% to ?5,042.6 crore in FY25, compared with ?4,713.4 crore in the previous fiscal year. While topline growth remained moderate, a slower rise in costs helped significantly improve operating efficiency.

Total expenses grew just 2.8% year-on-year to ?4,328.4 crore, up from ?4,210.1 crore in FY24. As a result, operating profit surged 38.4% to ?817.9 crore, compared with ?591 crore a year earlier. Operating margins also expanded sharply to 16.2% from 12.5% in FY24.On the cost front, cost of goods sold rose 22.1% to ?1,126.1 crore, while employee expenses increased 11% to ?576.6 crore. However, other expenses declined 5.9% to ?2,521.9 crore, helping offset input and manpower costs.A key contributor to improved profitability was a sharp reduction in marketing spends. Advertising and promotional expenses fell 13.8% year-on-year to ?1,311.13 crore, compared with ?1,520.22 crore in FY24.

Profit before tax climbed 42.5% to ?843.1 crore, up from ?591.7 crore last year, even as the tax outgo rose to ?228.1 crore from ?171.4 crore. The company ultimately reported a net profit of ?615 crore, significantly higher than ?420.3 crore in FY24.The results underline Coca-Cola India’s focus on operational efficiency and disciplined spending as it strengthens profitability in a competitive beverage market.
