Big FM has announced the appointment of Ashit Kukian as its Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 December 2025. Kukian steps into the role following his recent tenure as Chief Executive Officer of Music Broadcast Limited (Radio City), a position he held from September 2018 to August 2025.During his seven years at Radio City, Kukian led the network through significant changes in the audio entertainment sector, overseeing efforts aimed at product innovation, audience growth, and strengthening the company’s market standing amid increasing competition and digital expansion.
With over 30 years of experience across radio, print, television, and outdoor media, Kukian is widely regarded as a seasoned media professional. Prior to Radio City, he served as COO NewsX and CRO Non News at iTV Network between May 2017 and September 2018, managing operational functions alongside revenue strategy. Before that, he was President – Revenue at Times Network from November 2015 to May 2017, where he oversaw revenue development across the company’s portfolio of channels and platforms.
Kukian previously spent a decade at Radio City as President and Chief Operating Officer (2005–2015), contributing to key programming decisions and operational planning during a formative growth phase for the network. Earlier in his career, he worked with Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd. (Times Group) for nearly 13 years (1992–2005) as Regional Head, where he built regional sales operations and strengthened the company’s on-ground media presence.
His professional journey also includes participation in initiatives such as RadioCity.in, a collaborative project with AA Jagran that combined radio and digital content to reach audiences through emerging platforms.Known for his focus on team leadership and business performance, Kukian has consistently emphasized cross-functional collaboration while supporting creative growth. As he joins Big FM, the appointment is expected to bring continuity of experience in navigating the evolving broadcast and audio landscape.
