Google India posted an 11.3 percent year-on-year rise in gross advertising revenue to Rs 34,742 crore for the financial year ended March 2025 (FY25), up from Rs 31,221 crore in FY24.
However, net advertising revenue slipped 2 percent to Rs 72,694.4 crore in FY25 from Rs 72,743.4 crore in the previous year, as per the company’s latest filing with the Registrar of Companies, sourced via business intelligence platform Tofler.
The decline in net ad revenue was mainly due to increased payments to Google Asia Pacific for the purchase of advertising inventory. These expenses climbed 12.6 percent year-on-year to Rs 32,047.6 crore in FY25, compared with Rs 28,477.8 crore in FY24.
At the same time, revenue from enterprise products recorded robust growth. Gross sales from enterprise offerings rose 32.4 percent to Rs 2,054.9 crore in FY25, versus Rs 1,551.9 crore a year earlier. Payments to Google Asia Pacific for enterprise-related services also grew 33.8 percent year-on-year to Rs 1,868.4 crore.
Google India’s total revenue from operations registered a rare 3 percent decline to Rs 5,340.1 crore, down from Rs 5,518.1 crore in the previous year. The fall was attributed to lower income from advertising inventory and enterprise products, though partly cushioned by higher other income.
Consequently, net sales from enterprise products reached Rs 186.5 crore in FY25, reflecting a 20 percent increase over Rs 155.4 crore in FY24.
