Senior journalist Shiv Aroor has officially joined NDTV as Managing Editor, marking a significant move in the Indian media industry. Aroor, known for his deep reporting on national security and defense matters, confirmed the news through a social media post, expressing gratitude for the trust placed in him and excitement about building something special at his new organization.
Aroor had earlier announced his departure from India Today after an 18-year-long association, during which he played a crucial role in reporting from war zones, political corridors, and key national events. His departure was an emotional moment, as he recalled joining the organization at 26 and signing off at 44, having dedicated nearly two decades to broadcast journalism.
Speaking about his journey, Aroor had earlier said, "Today is a bit different, a bit special, and a bit emotional for me. After 18 incredible years, this is my final sign-off from India Today. It has been an honor of a lifetime to bring you the news—whether from a newsroom, a war zone, a major event's epicenter, or the corridors of power."
