Veteran media leader to steer the broadcaster into its next phase of digital transformation and public service growth

Priya Dogra Named New Chief Executive of Channel 4

Channel 4 has appointed Priya Dogra as its next Chief Executive, marking a major leadership shift for the British public service broadcaster. Dogra, who currently serves as Chief Advertising, Group Data & New Revenue Officer at Sky, brings more than two decades of global media experience across the US, EMEA and the UK. In her current role at Sky, she oversees Sky Media, leads the company’s data and analytics functions, and drives non-subscription revenue initiatives. She also played a key role in launching Universal Ads, a joint project between Sky, ITV and Channel 4, supported by Comcast’s FreeWheel. The initiative aims to democratise TV advertising by providing a self-serve platform for small and medium businesses.

Before joining Sky, Dogra spent 14 years at Time Warner, later WarnerMedia and Warner Bros. Discovery. Her most recent post there was President & Managing Director for WBD EMEA, overseeing programming, production, marketing, advertising, streaming, theatrical distribution and content licensing. She also supervised the development of original series for HBO and HBO Max, and earlier led major M&A and corporate strategy functions—advising multiple CEOs and closing high-impact deals.Dogra began her career in investment banking at Citi, specialising in media and telecommunications.

Channel 4 Chair Geoff Cooper praised the appointment, saying:

Cooper also acknowledged the contributions of Jonathan Allan, who has been serving as Interim CEO and will continue in the role until Dogra takes charge. Priya Dogra will assume the position in March 2026, becoming the eighth Chief Executive in Channel 4’s 43-year history.
