Next MediaWorks announces reshuffle; appoints Rohit Kalra as CEO

Next MediaWorks Limited, a subsidiary of HT Media Limited, has announced significant leadership changes with the resignation of two key executives—CEO Ramesh Menon and CFO Amit Madaan. Both resignations were tendered on Wednesday.

In regulatory filings, both Menon and Madaan cited “other responsibilities entrusted within the group” as the reason for stepping down.

Following these departures, the company’s board, upon the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, has appointed Rohit Kalra as the new Chief Executive Officer of the audio business and Priyatn Agrawal as the new Chief Financial Officer, both effective April 17, 2025.

Kalra, currently Chief Revenue Officer at HT Media, brings 24 years of diverse experience across media, telecom, and consumer durables. 

Known for his strong track record in driving business turnarounds and launching new revenue streams, Kalra has previously held leadership roles at Idea Cellular and Bharti Televentures. He holds an MBA in Sales and Marketing from IILM, Delhi, and has completed an executive program in Strategy Execution from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.
