Valerie Madon has exited her role as Chief Creative Officer for Asia Pacific and Singapore at McCann Worldgroup, marking a significant leadership shift within the agency as the broader Omnicom–IPG consolidation continues to reshape global creative structures. With her departure, creative leadership will now be integrated into McCann Singapore’s operational model under Daniel Kee, supported by Omnicom Advertising talent as needed.Sean Donovan, President of Omnicom Advertising Asia, praised Madon’s impact across the region, highlighting her leadership during a period of major transformation. He noted that she played a key role in elevating creative standards, nurturing teams, and shaping organizational culture across APAC. Reflecting on her tenure, Madon emphasized the enduring value of human creativity in an increasingly AI-driven landscape. She expressed gratitude toward the clients and colleagues she worked with and shared her excitement for future creative pursuits.
Madon served as Chief Creative Officer for Singapore from March 2025 and took on the APAC CCO role in August 2023. She also previously led creative for Southeast Asia starting May 2023. During her time at McCann, she oversaw APAC creative work for major brands including Mastercard and Ferrero. Drawing from her experience at Meta, she strengthened McCann Content Studios APAC by blending data-driven insights with platform-led creativity, resulting in strong social-first campaigns for clients such as L’Oréal Thailand and Chick-fil-A Singapore.She also championed creative development across the region by launching the Ambition Collective, a program focused on emerging APAC talent, and Shape My Portfolio in 2024, a mentorship initiative offering one-on-one portfolio reviews by industry leaders.Before joining McCann, Madon led Meta’s Creative Shop for Southeast Asia and emerging markets and previously served as CCO for Asia at VMLY&R, where she was also the global creative lead for Zespri.
Her departure comes as McCann and MullenLowe Singapore prepare to merge under the leadership of Paul Soon, formerly CEO of MullenLowe Singapore, who will transition to CEO of McCann Singapore. Gonzalo Olivera, previously managing partner at MullenLowe Singapore, will assume the role of president of the unified agency beginning January 1.This integration is part of the larger Omnicom–IPG merger, which is streamlining global operations and phasing out long-standing agency brands such as DDB, FCB, and MullenLowe. The consolidated creative networks will now operate under BBDO, McCann, and TBWA.According to an Omnicom Advertising spokesperson, the Asia leadership structure remains unchanged due to the complementary roles of Omnicom Advertising and IPG’s creative brands. Additional leadership changes are expected in January.
