Reliance Retail Ventures Ltd (RRVL) has appointed Jeyandran Venugopal as its President and Chief Executive Officer. He joins from Flipkart, where he most recently served as Chief Product & Technology Officer and was associated with the company for over six years.
With more than 25 years of experience spanning retail, e-commerce, technology and business transformation, Venugopal has previously held senior roles at Myntra, Jabong, Yahoo and Amazon Web Services.
According to reports, in an internal note, Isha Ambani, Executive Director of RRVL, stated that Venugopal will work closely with her and the Reliance Retail leadership team, under the overall guidance of Mukesh Ambani and Manoj Modi. His mandate includes enhancing the retail portfolio, boosting omni-channel growth, and ensuring technical and operational excellence across the value chain.
