iTV Digital Services Private Limited (IDSPL), the digital arm of iTV Network, has appointed senior journalist Sanghamitra Mazumdar as News Director, English Digital Vertical.
In her new role, Mazumdar will lead editorial strategy, newsroom operations and audience growth across the network’s English-language websites, video, and social platforms.
Mazumdar brings more than two decades of cross-platform experience.
Prior to iTV, she served as Editor, ABP Live English. Previously, she held senior editorial roles at The Indian Express, The Print, and The Statesman, having started her journalism career with Hindustan Times in the year 2000.
"Digital journalism today is about speed with context, clarity with conscience. After 25 years in journalism, I have learnt that the real challenge isn't just to break the news, but to make sense of it with trust, credibility, and content that actually connects. As I step into this new role, my focus will be on building a newsroom that values depth as much as speed, embraces technology without compromising integrity, and tells stories that truly serve the public. The landscape is changing rapidly, but the fundamentals of good journalism remain non-negotiable,” Mazumdar said.
“We are delighted to welcome Sanghamitra Mazumdar to the ITV Network family as News Director for our English Digital Vertical. With her rich editorial experience, sharp news sense, and proven leadership across top national platforms, Sanghamitra brings immense value to our digital transformation journey. Her strategic vision and journalistic integrity will play a key role in shaping the future of our English digital offerings, ensuring we continue to deliver impactful, credible, and timely news to our growing digital audience. We look forward to an exciting new chapter under her leadership,” said Abhay Ojha, CEO, ITV Network.
