HT Media Limited's board meeting on Tuesday has approved the appointment of senior corporate advocate and company secretary Manhar Kapoor as the company's whole-time director from May 20, 2025. This decision was taken on the recommendation of the nomination and remuneration committee in the meeting of the company's board of directors. Manhar Kapoor has been given this responsibility for a term of three years, which will be subject to the approval of the shareholders.
Manhar Kapoor has joined HT Media Group as Group General Counsel and Company Secretary from June 1, 2022. In this role, he has been responsible for the legal, secretarial and compliance functions of the group. Given his contribution and experience, he has now been given a bigger role in the strategic management of the company.
Prior to HT Media, Kapoor served as General Counsel and Company Secretary at Royal Enfield/Eicher Motors, where he handled key responsibilities across the group’s corporate governance, contract management, dispute resolution, IPR and compliance across international entities.
Manhar Kapoor, with nearly 24 years of professional experience, has worked with several leading companies and has played a key role in debt-equity transactions, acquisitions (M&A) and setting up of new businesses in India and abroad. He is a law graduate and also holds an MBA in Finance and Strategy.
